Why is it important to have a developer portfolio?

It's a page on the web that showcases who you are. Today, I heard a talk on developer portfolio and importance of online presence with Kunal Kushwaha and some Showwcase(a developer's community) members. Link: https://youtu.be/jZpKVrXnWRk

Attending that session was very great, session members were giving answers to the questions asked with ease and simplicity that made the session even more interactive. I learnt a lot from this session about which I am going to tell you in this blog. So, here we go:

1. One must not include things in their CV that are irrelevant to their applying job type.

2. Before sending a resume, one should study the needs of the company and the qualifications required for that post.

3.Always maintain presence over socials whether in the form of blogs, YouTube videos, or in any way you want, but you must be constantly creating content. This thing is going to define you.

4.If you do not have hundreds of thousands of followers then, don't worry, it's about credibility not about numbers. Of course, having more followers will definitely help you, but it's not the only thing you need.

5.You should have different versions of your resume, that you can provide for different roles.

6.Your resume must describe you and your advantages.
